Rector Carlos Quintero said that the results issued by the CNE on Sunday will be “the reflection of the popular will expressed at the polls, with full integrity in the registered information”
The vice president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quinterohe informed that this Saturday two audits will be held to the automated voting system, while on Monday the technical cycle will be completed with three more as part of the electoral guarantees of the municipal elections of July 27.
Quintero stressed that audits allow to validate the voting act, data transmission and their correspondence with the totalization system. “They are scientific evidence that can be technically demonstrated. Each political organization custodia its chain of trust, which translates into safety and transparency of the results,” he said.
He said that the results issued by the CNE on Sunday will be “the reflection of the popular will expressed at the polls, with full integrity in the registered information.”
Quintero made a recognition of the commitment of the officials of the electoral power and summoned all citizens, especially youth, to participate with conviction on this democratic day. “This July 27, let’s make history again for peace and Venezuela,” he concluded.
In this municipal electoral process, 2,806 charges will be chosen, distributed as follows: 335 mayors or mayors and 2,471 councilors or councilors, of which 1,420 per list vote, 982 per nominal vote and 69 councilors or councilors representatives of the indigenous peoples
For these elections, 21 million 524,128 voters are summoned.
