Less than a year before the sectional elections of February 2023, the plenary session of the National Electoral Council (CNE) lists details of the first Consultative Council of Political Organizations Nationals. This is a step prior to the elections in which the new members of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (Cpccs) will also be elected.

The Consultative Council will socialize the calendar milestones election, as well as the latest reforms to the Code of Democracy. These parameters must be implemented by the political organizations in their internal processes, to select their candidacies.
The latest amendments to the Code they are in force in the country since February 3, 2020 with the publication in the Official Registry. Among the main reforms are: the vote for closed lists, gender parity in the formation of lists, the creation of a new computer system for the control of the campaign spending. (SC)
