The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, informed that the process of candidates for the elections of governors, mayors, deputies to the National Assembly and representatives to the legislative councils extended until 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 12.
«The important thing also to point out that during today we will continue to receive organizations for political purposes, so that the entire people of Venezuela are attentive with all these groups that believe in what democracy is, believe in the Constitution and in the laws of the Republic. This day closes today at seven at night, ”he specified loving during a press conference.
According to the schedule distributed by the electoral entity, the applications had closed last Friday, April 11.
Political organizations had reported absence of official information by the CNE in several aspects, falling the automated applications system for several days, which reduced competitiveness to parties that are identified as opposition.

Amoroso recalled that the application process is being developed in accordance with the provisions of article 59 of the Organic Law of Electoral Processes, “which indicates the applications will be made with the requirements established by the National Electoral Council in the respective regulations”—
In the same way, he emphasized that the CNE is the only body empowered to organize, administer, direct and monitor all aspects related to popular representation elections of public and referendum powers.

On the other hand, Amoroso invited Venezuelans to participate in the electoral processes that will be held this year in the country. He indicated that on April 27 there will be a second popular consultation, on May 25 the regional elections and on June 1 elections for indigenous representation positions.
