CNE announces compliance with the electoral schedule by 62 %

Brazilian jurists confirm the validity of the results issued on June 28

The National Electoral Council reported on Monday, April 21 that it has reached the execution of the schedule in 62%, in compliance with the provisions of article 293 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and as part of the development of the electoral schedule of the elections to the National and Regional Assembly 2025.

Through a statement, the highest electoral body assured that this percentage evidence that they advance in a sustained and free way with each of the activities that have been scheduled, towards the next elections on May 25.

He added that 36,986 applications were received, corresponding to 6,687 candidates, with a balanced participation in terms of gender, with 53.93% men and 46.07% women.

Likewise, the Venezuelan people convened to participate this May 25 in this historic electoral day, in which the deputies and the deputies to the AN, as well as the governors and governors and the members of the legislative councils of the 24 states of the country will be selected.

The National Electoral Council, in compliance with the provisions of article 293 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and within the framework of the development of the electoral schedule of the elections to the National and Regional Assembly 2025, informs the country that we advance freely and sustained in the fulfillment of each of the scheduled activities.

As of today, April 21, we have reached a 62% execution of the electoral schedule, a reflection of the institutional commitment and the joint effort of the technical, operational teams and all the actors involved.

Among the main milestones already fulfilled, we highlight:

  • The approval of the final electoral registry.
  • The ratification and installation of subaltern electoral organizations.
  • The act of position choice on the ballot by organizations for political purposes.
  • And the successful process of nomination of candidates and candidates for the positions of deputies and deputies to the National Assembly, governors and governors, and legislators and legislators to the State Legislative Councils.

In this application process, we highlight the plural and democratic participation of:

  • 36 organizations for national political purposes.
  • 1st regional organizations.
  • 3 national indigenous organizations.
  • 5 regional indigenous organizations.

In total, 54 political organizations have postulated candidacies, which demonstrates the amplitude of the national political spectrum.

36,986 applications were received, corresponding to 6,687 candidates, with a balanced participation in terms of gender:

  • 53.93% men
  • 46.07% women

Complying with the principle of gender parity established by the electoral regulations.

Likewise, there is a remarkable increase in participation with respect to previous processes, reflecting a renewed interest in the elections by all political sectors of the country:

At the same time, the National Electoral Council continues to develop the audits to the electoral system, with the presence of technicians of political organizations, as part of the guarantees that allow political parties to follow up and verify each phase of the electoral process, consolidating the chain of trust and the transparency of the electoral system.

We remind the electors and voters that on April 29, the electoral campaign will be officially started in which the candidates will present their proposals to the country.

In addition, we want to inform that we also advance with the schedule of the Second National Popular Consultation 2025, whose day will be held next Sunday, April 27, for the choice of projects in 5,336 communal circuits. We extend the invitation to all to actively participate in this exercise of direct democracy.

Finally, we reaffirm that we have fully complied with each phase planned to date and remain in permanent session, evaluating and deciding what is necessary to guarantee it continuity of the electoral process.

We summon the Venezuelan people to participate on May 25 in this historic electoral day, in which we will choose the deputies and deputies to the National Assembly, as well as the governors and governors, and the legislators and legislators of the legislative councils of the 24 states of the country.
