The Medical Association of Peru (CMP) reaffirmed its position on the censorship and dismissal of the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, who was questioned by the plenary session of the Congress last Wednesday.
“We reaffirm ourselves in demanding the dismissal of the current Minister of Health and call on the political class to honor its commitment to the country for the benefit of the population’s health.”they indicated through a pronouncement.

The union also expressed “his most energetic protest for the expressions made by the Minister of Health” during the interpellation process in Congress. In addition, they highlighted that Condori lied about the CMP’s work during the coronavirus pandemic.
“He dedicated himself to attacking the Medical College by affirming that during the pandemic it never spoke out against the increase in costs in clinics and medicines, as well as the lack of oxygen. The CMP showed its position against the excessive charge that was made in private clinics”, read in the statement
For the CMP, Condori “he lies when he affirms that the ethical disciplinary procedure initiated against him by the Medical College has been archived”. In this line, they criticized that the head of the Minsa has not explained the reason for promoting clustered water and his response to the reduction in the number of people immunized against Covid-19.
In the statement, the union also attacked the congressmen who promoted censorship against Condori, but who did not request his departure from the Minsa. “We express our surprise at the contradictory behavior of some congressmen who, after promoting the interpellation and censorship of the Minister of Healthabdicated for political interests from their responsibility to oversee the actions of the executive in defense of health”they pointed out.
