CMD ends hunger strike

After more than eight hours of protest through a strike of hunger in front of National Health Service (SNS), the Dominican Medical College (CMD) decided to suspend this action until next Saturday, the day they will meet to discuss the points that will allow the signature of the agreement of salary increase.

He director of the SNS, Mario Lama, spoke with the president of the CMD, Waldo Ariel Suero, and they agreed to meet.

Dr. Lama specified that the meeting It would be this Saturday at the National Palace, with the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña; the Minister of Health and others authorities of the Health Cabinet.

The president of guild doctor expressed that they accept the proposal of the head of the SNS, so they proceeded to leave the facilities of the health institution.

Dr. Lama guaranteed that the government is in the best position to resolve the issues in disagreement to achieve the signing of the agreement so that doctors can be favored, this January, with their increase wage.
