The sports arbitration court (TAS) confirmed Friday that he has received individual resources from Club León and Pachuca to declare that both meet the requirements to participate in this year’s Club World Cup, against the decision of the FIFA that excluded the first.

The TAS also explained that Club León He also presented an additional appeal against the decision of the secretary general of the FIFA to be readmitted as a participant in the first edition of the World Cup, which will be played from June 14 to July 13 next in the United States.
The court, which received the resources on the 2nd day, announced that the parties are exchanging the writings in relation to their appeals, which will be processed according to the accelerated procedure agreed by the parties and the hearing will be held during the week of May 5.
Likewise, the TAS indicated that another arbitral procedure is processed by the appeal of the Alajuelense Sports League Association (LDA) against the aforementioned clubs, in which it alleges that the participation of both the Club León as of Pachuca In the FIFA Club World Cup is contrary to the regulation and that one of the two, or both, must be excluded.
The LDA also requests being admitted in the competition instead. The hearing of this case will be held in Madrid in person on April 23, 2025.
FIFA announced on March 21 its decision not to admit to Club León Mexican in the first edition of the Club World Cup, by virtue of article 10, section 4 of the regulation of this, which prevents the competition from the same owner, in this case the Pachuca group.
