Claudia Sheinbaum and governors participate in the National Congress of Morena

Manuel Merino and Salomón Jara, governors of Tabasco and Oaxaca, as well as Eduardo Ramírez, the next governor of Chiapas, have also already entered the World Trade Center, where the Morena congress is taking place.

Luisa María Alcalde, Secretary of the Interior and who is expected to be the next national leader of the party, is already in the room, as is Andrés “Andy” López Beltrán, son of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Delfina Gómez (State of Mexico) and Julio Menchaca (Hidalgo) also arrived at Congress, while Mara Lezama, governor of Quintana Roo, shared a video in which she asserts that everything is ready for the internal election.

Other governors present were Alfonso Durazo of Sonora; David Monreal of Zacatecas; Indira Vizcaíno of Colima; Lorena Cuéllar of Tlaxcala; and Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla of Michoacán. Also present were the governors of Nayarit, Puebla and Tamaulipas, and the governor-elect of Morelos, Margarita González.

Marcelo Ebrard, the next Secretary of Economy; Adán Augusto López, coordinator of the Morena senators, and Citlalli Hernández will also participate in the Morena National Congress.

Before the start of the seventh Morena Congress, Sheinbaum met with Morena governors at a breakfast where Mario Delgado also participated.
