Claudia Aguilera, a journalist from Unicanal, gave a few words to W radio in Colombia. She reported that four days ago they were in Colombia for reasons of a honeymoon. And that, on Tuesday morning, armed men approached in a boat to where they were. Without saying a word, they attacked the prosecutor and then fled.
The guard who tried to intervene was unable to get closer because he was also attacked by the criminals. Aguilera was uninjured.
“Two men arrived in a boat and approached him and shot him. The police were the first to arrive, but not the prosecution. We do not receive any threat. He is an anti-drug prosecutor and in the fight against organized crime in Paraguay”, he commented.
The couple was on the Island of Barú, on a private beach. They were staying at the Decameron Hotel.
