A civil-military risk exercise was deployed this Wednesday in the Caracas town of Mamera, Antímano parish, to increase the people’s preparation for any contingency situation. Likewise, it was carried out in coordination with the communal Management Bodies for Comprehensive Defense (ODDI).
In this regard, the political liaison of Circuit No. 5 of Caracas, Num Fernández, declared: “We did a drill where a stream overflowed and affected several homes […] “Here you can see how our people have reached maximum levels of organization.”
He also explained that the ODDI mapped critical structures such as hospitals, comprehensive diagnostic centers (CDI), power plants, and water pumps; in addition to specifying the “articulation to safeguard important spaces at the time of activation that goes against generating damage to these facilities.”
In addition, he revealed the existence of a defense plan to protect public services, transportation, roads and water supply. «“We are prepared to defend our Homeland, whatever it may be and wherever it may be,” he declared.
On the other hand, he also recalled that “our people overflowed the squares and boulevards to sign up for the militias,” following the call for enlistment previously issued by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. «“We have been forming these teams, amalgamating forces, to build the perfect civil-military-police union.”
