The Civil Defense of São Paulo issued an alert this Monday (30th) for intense rains and heat throughout the state until Wednesday (1st), with greater accumulations in the region of Ribeirão Preto and Franca, northwest of the state.
According to the agency, so far there is no indication of significant risk until the turn of the year. However, as the soil is waterlogged in several regions, the recommendation is that the population pay attention to the most vulnerable areas. Storms are forecast for the entire state.
For today (30), the forecast is for sun between clouds, which will lead to a hot and stuffy thermal sensation throughout São Paulo. Throughout the afternoon, the combination of heat and humidity from the ocean and the Amazon region should create conditions for heavy rain showers, followed by lightning and wind.
According to Civil Defense, between Tuesday (31st) and Wednesday (1st), the days will be marked by sun between clouds, with an increase in temperatures and a feeling of stifling heat in the state. As the hours go by, the heat and humidity will create conditions for heavy rain showers, with lightning and wind.
“As there will be times of storm, increased attention is recommended in more vulnerable areas, as there is a risk of disruption,” warned the Civil Defense, in a note.
Baixada Santista
