The Civil Defense of São Paulo issued a severe warning for storms in all regions of the capital due to the heavy rain that hit the region late this Friday afternoon (10). The alert was sent to all cell phones in affected areas. 
Civil Defense recommends that the population avoid flooded areas, not enter floodwaters, and take extra care in places with a history of landslides. It also advises people to stay away from windows during storms, and not to take shelter under trees or metal roofs in case of lightning and strong winds.
“The intensity of the rain varies between moderate and heavy and spread throughout the city. Images from the meteorological radar of the Emergency Management Center (CGE) of the City of São Paulo show heavy rain in the east zone, mainly in the sub-prefectures of Mooca, Penha, Aricanduva, Formosa and Vila Prudente”, highlights the CGE in a note.

According to the center, the forecast is that the rains will decrease until the evening.
This Saturday (11), temperatures are expected to gradually increase and vary between minimums of 15°C and maximums that can reach 25°C. During the afternoon, the rains should return in the form of isolated showers in Greater São Paulo.
