Santo Domingo.- The Civil defense of the Dominican Republic has launched an extensive operation of security with the participation of 8,178 members, between volunteers and employeesstrategically distributed in 385 aid stations throughout the national territory.
This deployment search guarantee the security of citizens who mobilize during the celebrations of Christmas and New Year.
The information was offered by the president of the National Emergency Commission (CNE) and executive director of the Civil Defense, Juan Salas, who detailed that the Personnel includes doctors, paramedics, brigade members, search and rescue specialists, and vehicle extrication technicians.
The institution has provided 123 doctors and emergency medical technicians, in addition to 12 ambulances equipped with medicines and necessary tools to provide immediate attention in case of emergencies.

Among the key points of the operation, two pre-hospital care posts stand out: one located under the bridge Juan Carlosat the intersection of the Las Americas Highway with the avenue Charles de Gaulleand another in the kilometer 87 1/2 of the Duarte Highwayin the province Monsignor Nouel.
Likewise, nine mobile rescue units will be equipped with specialized tools to free victims trapped in vehicle accidents.
The operation, which began on December 23, includes preventive activities like the traditional orange flags, where vvolunteers display banners with educational messages for driversurging the use of seat belts, respect for traffic signs, avoiding the use of cell phones while driving and refraining from consuming alcohol while driving.
This effort preventive and assistance will continue during the festivities of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Eveas part of the second phase of the operation.
