From 12:00 midnight this Tuesday, October 14, the activation of the Management Bodies for Comprehensive Defense (ODDI) was carried out through the Independence Plan Operation 200 in the states of Delta Amacuro, Sucre and Nueva Esparta in various Comprehensive Defense Zones (Zodi) of the country.
From Zodi number 61, in the state of Delta Amacuro, this plan began through active resistance and permanent offensive corresponding to the strategic operation in perfect popular-military-police fusion with territorial actions,” as highlighted by officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) in the entity.
Operation Independence 200 works on the territorial defensive system to deploy its forces in order to preserve the integrity of the homeland against possible enemy attacks and guarantee timely weapons support to combatants.
This activation also begins the 27 territorial actions with the purpose of preventing the strategic paralysis of the State.
224 communes activated in deployment of the Independence Plan in Sucre
On the other hand, the governor of the state of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo, led the activation of the Management Bodies for Comprehensive Defense (Oddi) in the context of the Independence Plan 200, which was executed from Avenida Cacique Maragüey, in the El Monumento sector of Cumaná.
Carrillo highlighted that for this order of operations, 224 communes of the entity have been deployed, in perfect unity.
In compliance with the instructions of the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, this plan is activated, taking into account the Atlantic and Caribbean façades and everything that corresponds to the territorial sea.
He pointed out that the people assume maximum commitment in defense of the homeland. Next, he added that from the east of the country they are ready, prepared, attentive and attentive so that this territory remains impregnable.
Independence Plan 200 in Nueva Esparta
In the state of Nueva Esparta, the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (Zodi) was also activated in the state of Nueva Esparta, in conjunction with the Management Bodies for Comprehensive Defense, corresponding to the Independence Plan 200.
