The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, led the civic-military parade for the 212th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), an activity that included a Military Parade from the Patio of the Bolivarian Military Academy, located in Caracas and in which 15,432 Bolivarian patriots participated .
In this sense, the Head of State expressed that 212 years ago the founding fathers took the definitive step towards freedom, and said “here we are, and with courage they solemnly declared the absolute independence of Venezuela, from any empire that existed on earth.” . I convey my congratulations to the entire FANB, to all the soldiers of the Homeland, who in perfect civic-military fusion, reflect the greatest moment in our history”.
The national president thanked the Liberators, who 212 years ago, in a masterly and heroic way, “solved the dilemma of not continuing as slaves and on their knees. They gave way to the criminal, genocidal Spanish empire. Freedom is our cause and our truth. We will be for a dignified and rebellious nation, and we will never again be submissive to any empire”.
July 5, 1811 is established as the date of birth of independent Venezuela, the first colony in America that managed to emancipate itself from the Spanish crown.
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, evoked the 212 years of national independence and the Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), on which occasion he stressed that his compatriots “demonstrate every day that we are a warrior people, sons and daughters of men and women who gave us freedom”.
The Venezuelan Head of State is accompanied by the first combatant and deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Cilia Flores de Maduro; G/J Vladimir Padrino López, Sector Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of Popular Power for Defense; G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, among other authorities and special guests.
