The civic committees of the department of Santa Cruz launched a harsh criticism, this Wednesday, against the president Luis Arcewhom accused of evading responsibilities and of mismanaging the economic crisis that the country is going through.

Fernando Larach, president of the Santa Cruz Pro Committee, assured that the president “He washed his hands, like Pontius Pilate” during his speech on August 6. According to Larach, Arce showed cowardice in facing the current crisis, ignorance of the Constitution and a clear intention to confront Bolivians.

“The president insists on avoiding the responsibility of facing the Bolivian people regarding the crisis we are experiencing. He blames the previous administration for what is happening, when He was a key player in that management and is therefore jointly responsible for what is happening today,” Larach said.

“We alert the Bolivian people of the arrival of a disguised gasoline tax“When there is no special gasoline, we will be forced to buy expensive gasoline,” he warned.

Refering to referendum proposalLarach described them as a “lack of courage and responsibility.” He pointed out that the management of hydrocarbons is the exclusive responsibility of the president and his cabinet, who must make the necessary decisions to maintain the country’s economic stability.
