The first region to be put on alert was the sub-prefecture of Santo Amaro, due to the imminent overflow of the Água Espraiada Stream, at the height of Piscinão do Jabaquara. The state of alert was in effect between 2:30 pm and 3:18 pm in this region. In the Itaquera sub-prefecture, the state of alert was in effect between 3:18 pm and 4:17 pm, due to the overflow of the Rio Verde.

In the sub-prefecture of Itaim Paulista, there was an overflow of the Itaim Stream and an imminent overflow of the Lajeado Stream and the state of alert was in effect between 3:41 pm and 4:17 pm.

At the moment, there are five flooding points in the city, two of which are impassable, located on Avenida Engenheiro Billings, in the west of the capital, and on Rua Padre Viegas de Menezes, in Itaquera, in the east.

According to the Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE), the areas of instability formed by hot and humid air have lost strength in the capital, but new areas of instability are moving from the cities of Jundiaí, Itupeva, Cabreúva and Campo Limpo Paulista to Greater São Paulo.

Rain is still expected, mainly in the north and west of the metropolitan region. The tendency, reported the agency, is for the rains to lose strength in the next hour.
