Citizens presented proposals to alleviate the economic situation of the most vulnerable sectors

In a meeting held this Tuesday at the Executive Tower, the Ministers of the Environment, Adrián Peña (photo), and of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, Fernando Mattos, both from the Ciudadanos sector of the Colorado Party, presented President Lacalle Pou with a series of proposals aimed at serving the most vulnerable sectors.

Ciudadanos proposes an “extraordinary and anticipated salary recovery adjustment” for the sectors that have not yet had, “that accompanies the temporary price increase that the economy is going through.”

In addition, an “extraordinary bonus” for the most submerged retirements, with an impact on 160,000 people.

Also “coordinate meetings with the corresponding companies or associations requesting price fixing for 60 days”, as well as a publication of prices of products of the basic basket. They also ask to increase to a “minimum of 20%” the allocation in the Tu Uruguay Social (TUS) cards, BPS benefits.

Also, increase Tuapp’s allocation “to double its current value” for the price increase emergency period. Beyond the proposed measures, the Colorado sector supports “the course of a responsible and balanced economic policy in the management of public accounts, which is putting Uruguay on the path of growth and genuine job creation, which is the best policy social that a country can have.
