The mayor of CaracasCarmen Meléndez, reported this Thursday that Citizen Security agencies were deployed to carry out the control work of a fire registered in the Waraira Repano National Park.
Through his Instagram accountMeléndez explained that he went to the scene to supervise the work to control the fire, which occurred near Boyacá Avenue, near the San Bernardino distributor.
“Citizen Security agencies deployed to quell the flames and protect this vegetal area and the nearby communities and roads,” he said.
The mayor’s publication was accompanied by images of the teams that were deployed at the site, including forest firefighters, park rangers and volunteer groups.
Likewise, he guaranteed that “we are attentive and making the necessary efforts” in order to control the situation as soon as possible.
