Citizen Power accuses of “infamous maneuver” increased reward against Maduro

Saab asserts that in seven years of administration, 540 men have been convicted of femicides

The Citizen Power pointed to the US to “insist on colonialist practices” after referring to the increase in the reward against Nicolás Maduro as head of the so -called “Soles Cartel.” It was stated that “this action is part of the hybrid war in Venezuela and is designed to please the factors of the Venezuelan extreme right”

The Republican Moral Council rejected on Monday 18 the decision of the United States government to increase the reward against Nicolás Maduro, which they called as a “grotesque and infamous maneuver” to “please the factors of the extreme right.”

“This infamy constitutes a flagrant violation of international law, an attack on our sovereignty and a rude interference to internal affairs,” read the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, in a statement on behalf of the Citizen Power.

On August 8, the US attorney general, Pamela Bondi, announced the increase to $ 50 million of the capture reward that weighs on Nicolás Maduro as “head of the Soles poster.”

Citizen power is the last of the public authorities of the country that joined the rejection of US actions against Maduro, indicated as “one of the world’s largest drug traffickers and a threat to our national security.”

They also pointed to the US of “insisting on colonialist practices”, while affirming that “this action is part of the hybrid war in Venezuela and is designed to please the factors of the extreme Venezuelan right.”

In the statement, signed by the prosecutor, the Comptroller General, Gustavo Vizcaíno; and the Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz; They also pointed out that it is an “infamous slander” against Maduro in an “attempt to build an artificial file that does not resist a legal analysis.”

They also affirmed that the Venezuelan government “has promoted a firm, sustained and effective policy against organized crime,” which was certified by the United Nations Organization in the last report of the Office against Drugs and Crime.
