Santo Domingo.- The president of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD), Miguel Vargas Maldonadosaid today that currently citizen insecurity in the Dominican Republic is “stronger than ever”, without exception of province or community.

He indicated that despite the announcement by the current authorities that they had the key to solving this problem, the harsh reality of the country is quite the opposite.

“The government party repeatedly proclaimed during the last electoral campaign that it had the solution to the problem of citizen insecurity,” Vargas said.

He added that it is more than proven that what they said was just a campaign display, that with the “Guillianni Plan” in 90 days they would solve citizen insecurity in the Dominican Republic.

The president of the PRD said that the demonstrated “inability” of the current government to solve the problems that overwhelm the Dominican people is demonstrated.

The political leader cited the high cost of living, the dissatisfaction with the management of electricity, “to which is added an inflation higher than two digits.”

Given the situation, he pointed out that it is up to the party he leads to continue working on its strengthening to present the country with a strong leadership, with suitable candidates to guide the nation along the path of progress and prosperity.

“The PRD continues to develop its program of growth, expansion and structural organization,” he said.

During the inauguration of a local and swearing-in of new members in Hato Mayor.
