Citizen Income is a program of the National Government of Colombia, administered by the Department of Social Prosperity, whose main objective is to provide economic support to families in poverty and extreme poverty. In the middle of the payment stage, there is a tool to find out in advance how much money you will have to receive.
The Citizen Income Calculator is a tool designed to help beneficiaries of the Citizen Income program in Colombia estimate the amount of subsidy they will receive in each transfer.
To use it you must follow the following payments:
1. Visit the official Social Prosperity portal or enter the link: https://calculadora.prosperidadsocial.gov.co
2. Select your department and municipality.
3. Indicate your group within Sisbén.
4. Specify the composition of your family (number of people and ages).
5. Click “new inquiries” to get the estimated amount you will receive.

What is the Citizen Income calculator for?
Subsidy Estimate: It allows users to approximately calculate how much they will receive in each payment cycle, considering several factors such as:
Ease of use: Beneficiaries can access the calculator directly from the Department for Social Prosperity website and obtain information without outside help.

What determines the amount each beneficiary receives?
As explained on page “X” of Citizen Income“the value can vary between $220,000 and $500,000. Additionally, if any member of the household receives money from the VAT Refund, the value will be included”.
This will be determined by:
-Groups A and B are priority to receive subsidies, with a special focus on those in extreme poverty.
-The amount also depends on how many people live in the home and their age. Households with children under 6 years old or members with disabilities may receive higher amounts due to the additional care burden.
-The areas where there is a greater prevalence of poverty and malnutrition are priority.
