This initiative is aimed at mothers who are heads of households with children under six years of age, with priority given to homes that include people with disabilities.
This program aims to reduce inequality gaps and improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable sectors through a comprehensive approach that takes into account multiple dimensions of poverty, such as health, education and access to basic services.
It also contemplates the direct distribution of food and the sending of resources and technical assistance to farmers and rural communities in order to strengthen food production.
The Government of Colombia explained that Payment cycle number 6 of the “Care Assessment” line will reach 546,761 homes.
Among the beneficiaries of Citizen Income, both of the “Valuation of care” as “Colombia Without Hunger” (aimed at two-parent homes with boys, girls and adolescents between 6 and 17 years old), There are 140,207 indigenous households and 27,207 that have people with disabilitiesin line with the guidelines of the National Development Plan Colombia World Power for Life.
