Citibanamex empowers women and breaks glass ceilings

Citibanamex empowers women and breaks glass ceilings

To help close the gender pay gap, one of the institution’s main actions is the continuous review of the differences in women’s pay (compared to their peers) and, depending on their seniority, makes adjustments. For this reason, in the last three years, it has been able to reduce said disparity to less than 1%.

“These and other initiatives are generated by the Council of Women in Mexico, which was formed in 2011 and since then has worked to build a culture that promotes gender equality inside and outside the organization,” said Manuel Romo, general director of Citibanamex.

Citibanamex’s goal is to become the leading financial group in gender equality in the country, where diversity even becomes the “source of institutional identity”, which favors a sense of belonging, the deployment of creativity and innovation. All of this in a productive and respectful work environment.

empowering more women

Being considered a Super Companies for Women, training programs occupy a priority place. As a result, Citibanamex announced that together with IPADE Business School they have designed a program that seeks to contribute to improving the management skills of women who are part of the bank.
