Madrid Spain.- The renowned former pitcher of Granma and the Cuban national team, Ciro Silvino Licea, left the country, through the José Martí International Airport, in the last few hours for Nicaragua.
The 46-year-old man from Granma will embark on the migratory route to the United States from the Central American nation to reunite with his wife, who left Cuba a couple of months ago, as confirmed by the baseball journalist Frances Romero and the sports environment Full Swing.
The former athlete, who was the current pitching coach for Alazanes de Granma, was called to be the main pitching coach for the Agricultores team in the Cuban Baseball Elite League, which will begin next October.
A native of Bayamo, Ciro Silvino Licea served as coach of the Cuba team in the last edition of the World Baseball Classic.
During his active stage he participated in 23 National Series, with an ERA of 3.70. Known as the Indian of the Date, he accumulated 208 wins with 3,067.1 innings and 1,887 strikeouts.
With the Cuba Team, he competed, among others, in the Winnipeg 1999 Pan American Games, in the 2001 Chinese Taipei World Championship and in the 2009 World Classic.

Eliut Torres, who during his time as an athlete coincided with renowned baseball players such as Kendrys Morales and Yulieski Gourriel, arrived in the northern country after crossing the border with Mexico through the Piedras Negras area.
