The National Circus of Cuba, the National Council for the Performing Arts and the Ministry of Culture will convene today the Circuba 2022 International Festival, which will bring together national and foreign artists from August 23 to 28.
After the pause imposed by Covid-19, the main event of the circus arts on the island invites Cuban and foreign companies to participate in its competition under the motto Never stop dreaming, refers to the press release of the organizing committee.
All applicants will be evaluated by a selection committee made up of teachers, specialists and personalities of the artistic manifestation, who will choose the acts and artists that will demonstrate their talent in this edition.
Those interested residents in the country must request the registration form through the mail [email protected] and deliver it to the event offices based in Havana.
In the case of foreign participants, they will be able to access the form available on the contest’s digital platforms and follow the instructions until they complete their candidacy for the Festival, with the call closing on May 15.
Considered the third oldest festival of its kind on the planet, Circuba has received notable exponents of the circus world in Havana since 1981.
