A total of 29 officials at the strategic level of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigation Corps (CICPC) participated in an interview panel, as part of the pilot plan of appointment of heads of the Criminal Investigation Services of the police forces, authorized to clarify crimes whose sentences do not exceed eight years.
This initial phase focuses on the appointment of more than 20 positions in different services in the states of Anzoátegui, Aragua, Carabobo, La Guaira, Miranda, among others, with a view to expansion to more than 70 municipalities in the country.
The initiative, promoted by the Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Captain Diosdado Cabello Rondón, and executed by the vice minister of the Integrated Criminal Investigation System, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandreaseeks to shield the processes related to scientific-police management in different locations.
During the event, the national director general of the CICPC, C/G Douglas Rico, He indicated that this panel responds to the demands of the moment and advances in the investigation of the crime.
Likewise, Rico urged the commissioners to demonstrate what they have learned in this institution. “A new vision is opening up, that of directing these specialized police units, which is why we must raise the name of the CICPC when facing this new challenge,” he said.
“These new times require personnel committed to sovereignty and responding to the people; as dictated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, through the Homeland Plan of the Seven Transformations,” he highlighted.
The Criminal Investigation Services (SIP) They are the police operational units in charge of carrying out the actions corresponding to the clarification of crimes whose sentences do not exceed eight years; enabled in the state and municipal police forces.
