Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) arrested an antisocial Colombian nationality, identified as Leonardo Restrepo García (23), to capture young people through social networks, using the grooming modality.
This was reported by the director of the agency, Douglas Rico, in his account in Instagramwhere he explained that the investigations carried out by members of the Coordination of Crimes Investigations against the people of the Municipal Delegation Guarenas, determined that the subject gained the confidence of the victims to agree on a meeting and thus sexually abuse them.
“Thanks to a thorough field research work, documentary expertise and psychological interviews, it was possible to locate and apprehend Restrepo, who had as modus operandi, capture young people through social networks, using the grooming modality, making a young man of the same age or contemporary to his victims, to gain his trust and later requested them intimate photos, and then coordinated. He sexually abused them, ”he explained.
The detention of the subject was carried out in the urbanization February 27, Parish Guarenas, Miranda state. Restrepo was at the order of the 21st Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Criminal Judicial District of the Miranda State.
It is important to highlight that grooming is a practice in which an adult pretends to be a minor on the Internet to sustain a relationship of trust, then going to emotional control and, finally to blackmail for sexual purposes.
They clarify femicide
In the same social network, Rich He also announced the apprehension of Alexander Carmelo Ara (51), in the Central Casco Sector, Piar Street, Upata Parish, Piar Municipality, Bolívar state, by the femicide of María Carolina Vera Muñoz (43), which occurred in the morning of last April 8.
“The case began as a missing person, being last seen on April 8, the day that the victim left from his residence along with the detainee, who would take her to the passenger terminal of the population of Upata where he never arrived,” he said.
He added that the officials initiated the investigation work determining that the fifteenary led Vera to a wooded area where he tried to sexually abuse. “When resisting, she hit her with a stone, causing her death immediately and after committing the sexual act, she dug a hole where she buried the lifeless body,” said Rico.
He pointed out that the investigations showed that the detainee was a friend of the victim and constantly harassed her.
During man’s arrest, the troops collected as evidence a shovel, a stone, clothing, a bag, an identity document and a keeway horse kW-150, AA3z47K plates.
Alexander Carmelo Ara was at the order of the 16th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Bolívar State.
