Cicpc agents seized in La Grita (Táchira), 567 thousand kilos with 1 gram of drugs, distributed between Cocaine and Marijuana.
The information was disseminated through a report prepared by the scientific police and posted on their Instagram account, where they specify that the drugs were organized in 24 bags.
The procedure was carried out while officials carried out an operation to review cargo and public transport vehicles. That’s when they saw a private car that tried to evade the police commission. As a result, the agents began a chase that culminated in the collision of the suspect vehicle against a flatbed truck, says the Cicpc report.

When searching the vehicle, the agents obtained the drugs and proceeded to arrest the driver.
Another anti-drug procedure was carried out in the Tala Wayuu sector, La Cañonera, Miranda municipality (Los Puertos de Altagracia), Zulia state. The Los Orientales Structured Organized Crime Group (Gedo) operates from that site, says a report published by the National Anti-Drug Superintendence (Sunad).
In the aforementioned sector, military agents seized 20 panels of cocaine hydrochloride, with a total weight of 23 kilos and 214 grams. ”In addition, a drug hiding point was identified, used by Gedo for the illicit trafficking of narcotics, specifically through maritime routes to international destinations,” the Sunad report states.
During this procedure two men were arrested
Last year, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, reported on several seizures precisely in the La Cañonera sector, Miranda municipality (Los Puertos de Altagracia), Zulia. In mid-March 2025, the Bolivarian National Guard carried out operations in the aforementioned municipality that totaled 6,694 kilos and 50 grams of cocaine.
The movement of this drug in that area was facilitated by mayors, seven of whom were captured, as reported by Minister Cabello on Friday, March 14, 2025. Among the detained mayors are Nervis Sarcos (Santa Bárbara del Zulia), Alberto Sobalvarro (Isla de Toas), Jorge Navas (Los Puertos de Altagracia), Danilo Esteban Añez Polanco (La Concepción), Fernando Loaiza Chacón (Found) and Indira Fernández Duarte (Sinamaica).
According to the investigation presented by Minister Cabello, these officials were part of a drug trafficking network from Colombia that used Lake Maracaibo to transport the shipments.
