The snake, which had escaped from its cage located in Block 5 of Casalta, was transferred to the Caricuao Zoological Park
The Cicpc reported on its social networks that it rescued a Boa Contrictor, a large non-venomous snake, known in Venezuela as the Tragavenado.
The snake had escaped from its cage located in Block 5 of Casalta, as neighbors had reported through videos broadcast on social networks where a person can be seen trying to rescue the animal using a sheet.
Upon learning of this complaint, officials from the Environmental Crimes and Animal Abuse Investigations Division of the Cicpc went to the site and rescued the animal in the Pedro Elías Gutiérrez urbanization, Casalta II, Sucre parish, Caracas.
Because it is a species protected by the Venezuelan State, officials transferred the Boa to the Caricuao Zoological Park.
