
An Anzoátegui police officer, identified as Freddy Rondón, 35 years old, was murdered at the hands of a detective of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigation Corps (Cicpc) in the early morning of Sunday, November 16, in Barcelona, Anzoátegui state.
The incident occurred around 2:30 am in a commercial establishment located on Cumanagoto Avenue in the Bolívar municipality, according to police sources cited by The Pitazo.
The alleged murderer was identified as Jesús Alejandro Centeno Morles, Cicpc detective currently under investigation in the agency’s inspectorate in Caracas. The reason for the current disciplinary measure against him was not detailed.

The first investigations indicate that Rondón and Centeno were sharing with relatives, consuming alcoholic beverages.

After perpetrating the crime, Centeno Morles left the site in a white Ford Fiesta vehicle, license plate GBT-32V, owned by the official himself.

The authorities have deployed a search operation to find its location and make it available to the Public Ministry.
Freddy Rondón was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Service (SIP) of the Anzoátegui State Policewhere he had already had several years of service.
The authorities have not offered official statements, but it is expected that in the next few hours the Public Ministry will advance in charging the fugitive official.
