SANTO DOMINGO.- Cibao FC revalidated his title of champion of the Dominican Soccer League (LDF), by achieving a 1-1 draw against Club Atlético Pantoja and a 3-2 aggregate in his favor, which places him as the maximum winner of crowns.
The Orange machine had won the second leg 2-1, so they only needed a draw to clinch the title. The Cibao monarchs became the first club with three crowns, in the eight professional soccer tournaments in the Dominican Republic.
In addition, the eleventh orange was established as the first to win two crowns in a row, with the runner-up obtained on Saturday evening.
The Argentine Jorge Alfonso became the first Technical Director to win two championships and make them “Back to Back”.
The championships of LDF they have been distributed with Cibao FC (2018, 2021 and 2022), Pantoja (2015 and 2019), Club Atlético Barcelona (1016), Atlántico FC (2017), O & M University (2020). Although visitors, Cibao fans FC traveled to Santo Domingo, supported their team and dyed the Félix Sánchez stands orange.
