Church will request canonization of Father Emiliano Tardif

Four gray boxes, touched with red ribbons and sealed with the seal of the Archbishopric of Santo Domingowill be taken to Rome by the priest Jean Jules Chassemin charge of presenting to the Vatican the investigation that supports the canonization of the father Emiliano Tardiffone of the catholic priests charismatic who has exercised his ministry in the Dominican Republic.

The “Diocesan historical research about the Life, Heroic Virtues, Fame of Holiness and Signs of Servant of God of Father Tardif”began in 2010, seven after he died in Argentina, in 1999, and was terminated this Wednesday, March 15, 2023and sealed on the afternoon of this Thursday the 17th, in the Primate Cathedral of America.

Mgr Francisco Ozoria presided over a liturgical celebration in which he formally announced that the introductory procedure and the investigation has ended in what corresponds to its diocesan phase, therefore, after sealing, the file will be sent to Rome, to the Dicastery for Causes of the Saints, where the second phase of the process will begin.

He thanked everyone who worked on the investigation and, in particular, Cardinal Nicolás de Jesús López Rodríguez, who opened it when he was archbishop of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo.

The boxes were sealed with hot wax and endorsed with the seal of the Archdiocese.

Ozoria was accompanied by bishops and priests of the congregation Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesusto which Tardif belonged, and lay people from the Servants of the Living Christ Community, founded by the religious, who are requesting canonization.
