Chuquisaca: Prosecutor's Office reviews femicide convictions

The Public Ministry began the verification and survey of information on the processes with executed sentences in the Criminal Execution Court of the Departmental Court of Justice of Chuquisaca. This work will be replicated throughout the country.

“A verification of the processes that currently have an executed conviction in acts of femicide, rape and aggravated rape is being carried out. On this occasion, we carry out this work in the premises of the Criminal Enforcement Court of the Departmental Court of Justice of Chuquisaca”, said the superior prosecutor, Patricia Bohorquez, yesterday.

The authority explained that the commission that carries out this work is made up of prosecutors specialized in crimes against life and gender-based crimes from the Public Ministry of the department of Chuquisaca, as well as national directors and senior prosecutors from the State Attorney General’s Office.

“The team -which was prepared to carry out this work- is made up of three specialized prosecutors and directors of the State Attorney General’s Office together with support staff,” he said. “We are doing the accompaniment as the Superior Prosecutor’s Office in order to carry out the information survey,” said Bohorquez.
