A master builder identified as Henry Alan Rivera (39) was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Second Transitory Collegiate Criminal Court Subspecialized in Violence of Huancayo, after being found responsible for committing indecent acts to the detriment of his stepdaughter, events that occurred in 2018.

The conviction was obtained by the Corporate Provincial Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Violence Against Women and Members of the Chupaca Family Group. Deputy prosecutor Melbi Pacheco Anaya presented sufficient evidence to prove the responsibility of the accused.

The case came to light again in April 2024, when the teenager requested psychological support at her school due to problems at home. The staff coordinated with CEM professionals, who guided the mother to file the complaint with the Chupaca Police Station, thus activating the formal investigation process.
The proceedings carried out by the specialized prosecutor’s office made it possible to reconstruct the events that occurred years ago and support the accusation that finally led to the sentence.
