The closure of a 32 states tour
Advised by former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador not to leave weekend tours through the country, Sheinbaum not only keeps those visits, he chose to make 32 rallies in the states to highlight what was done in his first year of government. Guanajuato was the first stop and the entity that ruled and promoted his presidential career.
At home and with theirs he listed one by one his achievements: investment in social policy, poverty reduction, approved reforms, judicial election, growth in tourism, housing construction, medication supply and the beginning of the construction of more than 3,000 kilometers of railways.
He also had the controversial amparo reform recently approved by the Senate.
“I take this opportunity to explain that the reform of the Amparo Law that we recently proposed guarantees citizens their rights to any act of authority. That is totally safeguarded. Its objective is to make the faster, more expedited justice.
“President, president!”, “It is an honor to be with Claudia, today,” were the shouts that her supporters chanted when the president made pauses. Unlike other mass acts, articles alluding to the figure of the former president were few. The “Parlante Amlito” was no longer sold and few were the ‘pejeluches’, the cups and shirts of the former president.
Those who failed to enter the Plaza de la Constitución or wanted to avoid the shoves chose to stay in front of one of the eight screens that settled in surrounding streets and in which the president’s message was transmitted.
Similar to what López Obrador did to consult citizens about judicial reform, the president put the proposal to appoint the Mexico-New Laredo train as the Gulf of Mexico train.
“What do you think if we put that train from Mexico?” He asked.
Citizens did not hesitate and raised their hands to appoint the first rail project that is built and promises to interconnect Mexico.
“Approved,” said Sheinbaum thus baptizing the first of his flagship works.
In one of the most complex issues for his government, violence, Sheinbaum stressed that there are results: he said there are 32% less homicides.
And he took the opportunity to clarify in the midst of Trump’s pressures to fight cartels and fentanyl traffic.
“Peace construction policy is built sovereignly in Mexico,” he said.
The first scientist to occupy the most relevant position of politics did not hesitate to show its human side and promised to deliver to the soul to exercise the position.
“My commitment is with the people and remains to give my soul, my life and the best of myself for the well -being of the people of Mexico,” said the president while a young man celebrated the speech he saw on one of the screens on Palma and Madero street.
