#Chronicle | “Aplausómetro” and challenge to Córdova accompany Morena’s tour in CDMX

The “applause” was between the Morenista federal deputy Aleida Alavez and the coordinator of the Morena parliamentary group in the local Congress, Martha Ávila.

At the moment of being mentioned by the speakers, each porra tried to be noticed with banners, balloons, applause and shouts.

One of the first speakers at the event was Clara Brugada, who asked Morena militants that by 2024 there be unity in the party and that divisions and individualism be put aside.

“Iztapalapa must be prepared for what is coming, in the 2021 elections Mexico City was not debating, but now it is, in 2024 we must continue the fourth transformation and we must be alert,” said the mayoress.

Taking the floor, Sebastián Ramirez, local leader of Morena, considered it necessary for residents to form committees in defense of the “fourth transformation” to prepare them to vote in 2024 and prevent conservative groups from “taking over” the capital and the country .

“I want us to make a commitment, that Iztapalapa gather 750,000 votes for the transformation in 2024,” he said.

For his part, the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, described as “lies” from the right, that with the electoral reform the 2024 elections are at risk and took the opportunity to challenge Lorenzo Córdova, INE president counselor.

“From Iztapalapa I want to challenge Lorenzo (Córdova) to make public how much he will receive in liquidation, now that he leaves the INE, we are a month away, it is more or less 11 million pesos that he is going to take,” he asserted.

Among the cheers launched among the attendees were several “head of government, head of government!” addressed to the mayor Clara Brugada, who already appears in some polls as a possible candidate to succeed Claudia Sheinbaum.
