Less than five hours before Christmas, the President of the State, Luis Arce Catacora, toasted this Saturday a Christmas message highlighting the economic stability of the country, the increase in agricultural production, the lowest inflation rate in the region, the scope of anticovid vaccination and other achievements of his management.
In the first part of his message, Arce emphasized presenting a positive view of the country’s situation. “This year international organizations, such as ECLAC, have indicated that our Plurinational State of Bolivia will be the country that will reduce extreme poverty the most in our region and that is something that makes us happy, but it also drives us to commit ourselves even more, because we have a lot to do”.
The president then added that two years ago, upon taking office, he assumed the commitment and responsibility of the mandate given to him by the Bolivian people “to rebuild our homeland and get ahead of the deep health, political, economic and social crisis in which we found ourselves”, to later point out that every morning she wakes up remembering a clear mandate, which is “to work for a country of which we all feel more proud and proud every day and today I can tell you with great optimism that We are already moving forward, we live in a better country than the one we received in 2020 and that with the commitment and work of all of you, we will be even better”, indicated the Bolivian president.
At the time of remembering that the country is heading towards its bicentennial (2025), he also recalled the effects of Covid-19 in the country. “We went through very difficult times, in which we could not hug each other with our families. We lost loved ones and today that we can sit at the same table, we must not let our guard down. We are in a new wave of infections and it is important to continue with biosecurity measures and above all get vaccinated, because so far the vaccine against Covid-19 is what has helped us the most so that the disease does not become complicated and that we regret many losses of life, ”said Arce.
The president indicated that the national government has implemented measures to counteract the effects of the international crisis.
“Having resumed our productive economic, social, and community model, our country has returned to the path of stability and economic growth with social justice, knowing that economic stagnation and rising prices affect the poorest families to a greater extent. poor” In this sense, he pointed out that “We have the lowest inflation rates in the region and one of the lowest in the world, which becomes relevant in an international inflationary context, where the large economies apply orthodox measures to contain inflation without success, rather causing paralysis of economic activity”.
In his vision of development, he highlighted that progress is being made in the industrialization process with import substitution with important measures, which he described as successful. “We increased agricultural activity for the supply of food in the markets.
We are working tirelessly for safety with food sovereignty enhancing the great wealth of food that Mother Earth offers us”
In his brief speech, lasting just over six minutes, he also spoke of the moments of tension that the country experienced, but without specifying the facts. “We have gone through some difficult moments of tension, confrontation and disagreements between brothers; However, we are a homeland of hard-working men and women who dream of a better future for our children and grandchildren. We are a country with great cultural wealth and natural resources and we must understand that our diversity and complementarity are our greatest strength,” said the president.
Finally, Arce concluded his message by thanking the expressions of affection he received in all the departments of the country and with a call to love the country and take care of its stability. “Let’s love our country and take care of the stability, certainty and hope that has cost us so much to recover and united and unity let us continue to rebuild our economy on the path of growth with social justice, on the path of dignity and a country free of racism, discrimination, exclusion and all forms of violence on the path of living well for all” , concluded the president.
