Due to the increase in cyber crimes In the Christmas campaign, it is important to take the appropriate measures to protect the relevant data of a company, such as financial or tax, said Kenneth Bengtsson, executive president of Efact.
Given this, the executive recalled that Electronic Service Providers (PSE) offer important benefits to reduce the risks of loss or vulnerability in information.
Likewise, he pointed out that a PSE that has the authorization of the Sunat adds a protection quota to the information of the companies.

Along these lines, Bengtsson detailed the digital security benefits of private platforms designed for the issuance and receipt of electronic invoices:
- Restricted access: PSEs make significant investments to develop private platforms and infrastructures that have greater access controls and more stringent restrictions than public clouds. They not only have high standards for data protection, but also offer useful information recovery services for their clients.
- Checking the status of invoices: Receiving an email from false accounts that warns of an error in a receipt or requests payment of a non-existent invoice creates a risk of fraud if the necessary technologies are not available. Given this, the PSE offers tools to verify the authenticity of the information.
- Information integrity: Electronic Service Providers do not have access to the information on the invoices issued by each company because the data is encrypted. That is why Sunat requires all PSEs to have ISO/IEC 27001, which certifies information security management systems. This accreditation demonstrates integrity in handling customer data.
- Safe reception: The PSE platforms are enabled for sending and receiving documents. This means that even when a customer sends an invoice by email, in PDF format, this document can be displayed in the system, confirming its veracity. Using the provider’s infrastructure to receive electronic documents not only guarantees their authenticity, but also allows tax communication to be maintained in a much more secure and private digital ecosystem.
