Chiriquí will host a taekwondo tournament

250 athletes, 16 academies and an international guest club will participate in the Chiriquí Provincial Taekwondo Tournament, which will take place this Saturday, July 29, at the La Basita gym in David.

This event, organized by the Chiriquí Taekwondo League and the teacher Boris Álvarez, will feature the best exponents of this sport, in the child, cadet, youth and adult categories.

The Bhan Seok academy of Costa Rica is summoned to the appointment, directed by the teacher Ronald Solano, forger of great talents in Taekwondo.

“The Chiriquí Provincial Tournament is held with the aim of developing and spreading the discipline of taekwondo in our province,” said teacher Álvarez.

In addition, the Provincial will serve as the stage to choose the best athletes from Chiriquí and also as a blank for the selection of taekwondo cadets from Panama, which will be representing us in the sister country of Nicaragua.

During the day, there will be the best referees and judges to guide the fights.

Álvarez added that three more events will be scheduled in the province to continue spreading this sport.

The competitions start at 8:00 am and the best each of the categories will be highlighted during the Provincial tournament.
