Chiriquí will have a new Fiscal Dock in Puerto Armuelles

For an amount of B/. 21,190,702.78 million, the province of Chiriquí will have a new Fiscal Dock in Puerto Armuelles, in the district of Barú.

This, after the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), awarded through Resolution No. 006-2022 OF 10-18-2022, to the ASOBUZ consortium, made up of the Panamanian company Administration and Supervision of Civil Works, SA and the Colombian BUZCA Solutions of Engineering, S,A., the project for the Study, Design, Development, Approval of Plans and Construction of the Dock.

The ASOBUZ consortium obtained 95% of the total score, after meeting the technical, administrative, financial and economic proposal requirements, according to the tender documents.

Next, the administrative and legal process will begin for the signing of the contract between both parties, which will come into legal life once it is endorsed by the Comptroller General of the Republic.

According to the AMP, this project will directly benefit the economy of the district of Barú and the province of Chiriquí in general, since during its construction it will generate direct and indirect jobs and once the work is completed it will impact the fishing sector, tourism and the maritime industry. assistant. In this way, the National Government fulfills the promise of generating public works in productive sectors to boost the local economy and the social development of the communities.
