Although supply restrictions are suspended during Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations, Galán did not rule out the possibility of implementing rationing on alternate days if the situation worsens. in the following months.

Natasha Avendaño, manager of the Bogotá Aqueduct, warned that a critical scenario, called “day zero”, could occur between February and March 2025. given that meteorological projections indicate a low probability of rain in the first quarter of the year.

In addition, nearby municipalities such as Soacha, which also depend on the Bogotá Aqueduct, will adopt similar measures to temporarily suspend rationing during the festivities, reflecting a joint effort in resource management.
