The young Chinandegan worker Melvin Alexander Campos, 25, died this Wednesday morning when a heavy Jumbo Sacks fell on his humanity.
According to preliminary versions, the accident occurred in one of the warehouses of the Aceitera Real company, specifically in the peanut husk flour packaging that the company produces, and which is used for livestock feed.
It was learned that at about 10:00 in the morning this Wednesday, the worker supported what they call the embedding of the forklift’s nails, but just at that moment, the team moved the device a little and a dozen of the sacks fell off the stowage and one fell on him.

A group of workers moved quickly to save his life, but the tragedy happened in a matter of seconds. Another element that favored the misfortune is that the worker reacted late and when trying to protect himself, he unfortunately did so next to where one of the heavy sacks fell. “Everything was too fast, in seconds,” said a coworker who lamented the tragedy.
It was a work accident
Jumbo Sacks are used in these industries with the aim of optimizing space and time. They can weigh up to a thousand kilograms.
Clearance maneuvers were immediately carried out to rescue the worker and transfer him to a care center, but he was in agony and it was impossible to save his life. In the different areas of the company they began to lament the tragedy.
“Of course, it is a company where all security measures are imposed, but sadly this death occurred, an unfortunate accident at work,” said another co-worker, who attended the wake on Wednesday night. The administrative and industry personnel accompanied the candlelight of the young man who leaves no children and who lived in the Pedro Joaquín Chamorro neighborhood of this city.
“They came to notify us around 1:00 in the afternoon, we were not aware, they only told us that he had died, that some Jumbo sacks had detached and that one fell on him,” lamented one of his two brothers just after the incident. tragedy.

Melvin Alexander had completed two years of working in the company located at the exit of the city of Chinandega towards Corinto. Those who know him said that he was always a good employee, very responsible with what he did.
On social networks, the community of the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe, posted their condolences and also regretted what happened. He was a member of “The Servants of the Nazarene”, a group of religious youth, which collaborates with the activities of that saint.
