On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the creation of the People’s Republic of China, the embassy of the Asian country in Caracas held a videoconference with representatives of the media in which the Minister Counselor, Zhang Yuanwei, spoke about the meaning of this historical date .
At the event there were words from the Chinese ambassador, Li Baorong, and the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.
The People’s Republic of China was proclaimed by Mao Tse Tung on October 1, 1949, at the end of the civil war, when the forces of the Communist Party defeated those of the old Chinese regime.
The Chinese ambassador spoke about the international situation, which he described as complex and turbulent, and lamented that the winding road to world peace is suffering serious setbacks. In this regard, he stated that China is willing to make proposals for global economic recovery.
The ambassador affirmed that after the covid-19 pandemic, China’s economy has been able to advance, proof of this, the ambassador alluded, is that the gross domestic product grew 5.5% in the first quarter of 2022. With this performance, China has served as the engine and stabilizer of economic growth, he added.
For his part, the Minister Counselor, Zhang Yuanwei, referred to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China to be held in October in the capital Beijing.
Zhang Yuanwei pointed out that this congress, in addition to raising the flag of socialism with Chinese characteristics, will define action plans and policies that will allow China to become a modern socialist country.
