“Today marks six months since our father was arbitrarily detained by the Nicolás Maduro regime. We don’t know what condition he is in or how he is being treated. We are very concerned about your health“, stated his relatives in the statement spread on social networks.

“Six months after the arbitrary detention of Juan Pablo Guanipa, we demand that our father’s right to visits and constant medical care be respected. Our dad is innocent. My brothers, my daughter and I are waiting for you at home. Freedom for our father, for Venezuela and all political prisoners,” said Ramón Guanipa.
On the other hand, the family recalled that Juan Pablo Guanipa suffers from hypertension and requires constant medical attention. However, those close to him have revealed that the authorities imposed a regime of visits and calls that does not guarantee effective contact or access to information about his health.
Both children and grandchildren expressed themselves in the message, who expressed themselves affected by the politician’s absence. “I miss my grandfather a lot. I would like to see him again. Today we raise our voices to ask for support,” said one of his granddaughters.
