Child under 8 years pregnant has received psychological care

The National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family (Senniaf), through a measure of protection and deprivation of parental care, issued by the Second Court for Children and Adolescents, has provided care since December 27, 2021, to the minor of 8 years that she became pregnant as a result of rape.

As reported by Senniaf, a relative of the minor filed a complaint on December 22, 2021, when the infant was 21 weeks pregnant. From that moment the entity intervened providing psychological care to both the minor and the relatives who were affected by the event.

The victim was placed under the care of a relative who met the psycho-affective requirements and with the resources to take care of the minor outside the place where she was sexually assaulted.
