The governor of the state of Sucre, Gilberto Pinto, reported this Sunday the death of an 8-year-old boy after suffering an electric shock from a high-voltage wire that fell off as a result of the heavy rains recorded in the eastern entity since hours of the early morning. The event occurred on Cancamure avenue in the Cristo Redentor sector of Cumaná.
“We want to inform with all the sadness that overwhelms us on behalf of the Bolivarian Government the irreparable loss of a minor, due to an electric shock. It is about an 8-year-old boy on Cancamure avenue, Cristo Redentor sector.
According to a publication on the Sucre Governor’s social network Twitter, it is detailed that the child was bathing in the rain, when suddenly a wire detached generating an electric shock that caused his death.
