A woman was arrested by the authorities after it was found that she was constantly and violently attacking her husband. five year old daughterin a case that has generated deep consternation in the province of La Altagracia and that came to light through social networks.
The detainee, identified as A.Mwas arrested under a court order issued by the Permanent Attention Court of the Judicial District of La Altagracia.
According to the accusation, the mother attacked frequently to the minor, whose name is omitted for legal reasons, using blunt objects as plates, wires, sticks and straps.
He legal medical certificate establishes that the girl presented:
- Multiple hits
- Human bite marks
- Old scars on different parts of the body
- Recent injuries on the face, neck, chest and extremities
On a psychological level, the minor showed high risk of violence, as well as signs of fear, insecurity and intimidation when narrating the events to the authorities.

The girl reported that her mother was constantly hitting and threatened not to take her to school if she “misbehaved.”
He Public Ministry requested a measure of coercion consisting of preventive detention against the accused, considering that she does not offer guarantees of appearing at the trial and that there is danger of flight.
Likewise, the Prosecutor’s Office requested that the minor be heard in Gesell Camera and receive psychological care and specialized social support.
The case remains under investigation by the Care Unit to Victims of Gender Violence and Intrafamiliar of Verón–Punta Cana, with the objective of guaranteeing the comprehensive protection of the girl and seek justice in the face of this serious fact of child abuse.
