The mayor of La Victoria Edwin Vásquez Sánchez issued an alert call for the terrible environmental contamination that a new informal dump recently identified on the border with the districts of Monsefú and Pimentel has been generating.
“A few days ago we carried out field work to identify land for some works and it was a great surprise when we found that an informal dump of more than 5 hectares has been operating on the border with Monsefú and Pimentel,” denounced the municipal authority.

He added that unofficial information states that this dump has been operating for some years due to the indifference of the previous authorities despite the contamination of the environment generated by dumping solid waste without further treatment.
The people who were in the place in their recycling work revealed that the districts of Monsefú and Santa Rosa would dump their solid waste in that place.
In this sense, the mayor called on the environmental authorities and the Public Ministry to intervene immediately so that the necessary investigations are carried out and corrective actions are taken in the case, such as the urgent closure of the dump.
