The version most revered by fans of adventurous-style pick-ups returns to the country with the most successful model of the brand on the market. This is the new Chevrolet S10 Z71, which comes with a package of exclusive and functional items for more extreme off-road trails. Also because it is born with the most robust mechanical set of engine, chassis, suspension and traction available for the platform.
Those responsible for making the presentation to the press of the new pickup that expands the range of configurations of the S10 were Claudio D’Agostini, general manager of GM Uruguay and Felipe Klimas, responsible for Marketing.

Designed by GM’s product development teams in the United States and Brazil, the new S10 Z71 has more than 20 customization items, which give the vehicle a truly customized look, such as the exclusive anti-roll bars and tubular format running boards. . The pick-up’s “All-Terrain” tires have a special technology that guarantees better performance on low-grip surfaces.
The new version of the S10 inherits the same mechanical evolutions recently adopted throughout the line, such as the new turbine, the new calibration of the 2.8 Turbo Diesel engine and the AT6 automatic transmission. Includes reduced 4×4 traction.
“The arrival of the new version of the S10 arrives in Uruguay at the ideal time, after being crowned one of the 3 best-selling pick-ups within the D segment and the one that grew the most in 2021. From 2019 to the present the S10 increased its market share by 10.3 points, a situation that will surely continue to increase with the arrival of the new S10 Z71”, stated Claudio D’Agostini.
The new S10 Z71 is available in four body color options: Summit White, Switchblade Silver, Darkmoon Blue and Dark Shadow Gray Metallic. It comes equipped with the safety, comfort and connectivity items most valued by customers: six airbags, the custom finish of the seats and the MyLink system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play.

With the introduction of this new version, the S10 Crew Cab is now offered in five trim levels (LS, LT, Z71, LTZ and High Country).

The S10 pickup today has for all versions the 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine with 200 hp at 3,600 rpm with 500 Nm of torque in the automatic versions and maximum torque at 2,000 rpm. In particular, the Z71 version will exclusively offer the 6-speed automatic transmission and will be sold throughout the Chevrolet Dealership Network distributed throughout the country at USD 53,990.
